Celebrating 38 Years of Hope

Southside Center of Hope, formerly St. Martin de Porres House of Hope, was founded by Sister Therese O’Sullivan and the late Sister Connie Driscoll, in 1983. Starting with $15 and 19 beds, Sister Connie and Sister Therese dedicated their lives to creating a safe and welcoming place of refuge for women struggling with addiction and experiencing homelessness. Since then, guided by their example of unparalleled leadership and service to others, the agency has transformed the lives of more than 4,000 women.

Your support of Southside Center of Hope honors the legacy of our founders and strengthens our mission to help women survive, heal and grow, as well as restore their families. Together, we can help end the effects of homelessness and substance abuse on Chicago’s women and children.
