Meet Our New Program Director
We are excited to announce that for the first time in our organization’s history, we have a Program Director. Ethel Bass joined our team in July 2016. Ethel will work directly with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors to refine our existing programs and to develop new programs.
She brings 17 years of social service experience and a Master’s degree in Psychology from National Louis University to the role. “The work I do here is an extension of my personality and I absolutely love it. Helping others is my gift, and I get to operate in my gift daily. I have a true passion for those overcoming drug and alcohol dependence and reclaiming the life stolen by their addiction.”
In addition to her Master’s degree, Bass is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (CADC) and has her Mental Illness Substance Abuse (MISA) certification. Bass credits her leadership ability and compassionate nature to the 5 years she spent as a Supervisor at Inner Voice Shelter. She also spent 3 years at TASC as a Recovery Coach and aided in the recovery of numerous men and women.
