Welcoming A New Board Member
Southside Center of Hope is pleased to announce the addition of Johnny Sukurs to its Board of Directors.
Johnny Sukurs currently serves as the Vice President of Corporate Development for Len The Plumber. In this role, Sukurs is responsible for identifying and acquiring attractive target companies for Len The Plumber, a portfolio company of Thompson Street Capital Partners and leader within the plumbing services industry. Sukurs has over 10 years of experience in business development. He also holds a master’s degree in Finance, Accounting and Strategy from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
After living in Chicago for 15 years, Sukurs was led by his faith to give back in a more meaningful way and specifically sought out an opportunity to lend his time and talents to a non-profit agency that serves women and children who struggle with homelessness and drug addiction. Southside Center of Hope was able to connect with Sukurs through the University of Chicago’s Alumni Board Connect program that helps University of Chicago Alumni find opportunities for non-profit board service.
Southside Center of Hope is currently going through a tremendous transformation that will lay the foundation for an increased impact on the population it serves and Sukurs expertise in finance and business development will be an asset.
“I love that I have an opportunity to help the organization evolve, not just to survive but to thrive. We are working on increasing our reach, increasing our awareness, and increasing the number of women that we can serve. If I can help Southside Center of Hope grow in all three of those areas, I will feel that I have succeeded in my time on board,” Sukurs said.
